Formula Upgrades!
Some of you very observant humans may have noticed that some of our formulas have shifted! I wanted to share a little bit about the specific formula updates and my reasoning behind the ingredient additions, subtractions, and substitutions.
Hair Growth Oil.
Previous ingredients: Organic Castor Oil, Moringa Power, Essential Oils of Rosemary, Peppermint, & Tea Tree
Current Ingredients: Organic Castor Oil, Organic Amla Oil, Moringa Power, Essential Oils of Rosemary, Peppermint, and Tea Tree
The why behind my shift: The why was mainly rooted in my wanting to break up the consistency of the very thick, viscous castor oil as well as an intuitive pull towards knowing I wanted to incorporate Amla Oil into my product. Amla Oil comes from the Indian gooseberry plant and has an amazing history of supporting hair health and growth.
Hair Softening Oil
Previous ingredients: Organic Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Essential Oils of Roman Chamomile & Lavender
Current Ingredients: Argan Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Fractionated Coconut Oil, Essential Oils of Organic Roman Chamomile & Lavender
The why behind my shift: An old memory I have (for any Indians out there) is buying Parachute Coconut Oil (in that iconic blue bottle) and running it under hot water to melt down the oil so my mother could oil my hair. Which is why - when crafting my formulas - I didn’t think about that being a core memory more for me, not for others! I wanted my new formula to be one that could be ready to go at any time (even in the dead of winter) without needing any additional steps to use. Additionally, I wanted the oil to be a little lighter and be easier to absorb - so I decided to tinker around with the formula and bring in some new flavor with Argan Oil!
Room Cleansing Spray
Previous ingredients: Distilled Water. Grain Alcohol, Essential Oils of Organic White Sage & Palo Santo, Sea Salt
Current Ingredients: Distilled Water. Grain Alcohol, Essential Oils of Frankincense, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang, & Lavender, Sea Salt
The why behind my shift: So many of you loved our original formula (and so did I!). Unfortunately, my supplier of essential oils stopped supplying, and I couldn’t find any alternatives that I liked that were also in budget (struggles of a small business). However, I am beyond pumped for this new formula! I crafted this new blend with a lot of intentionality, letting my intuition guide me. This formula is also crafted to ensure an energetic cleansing, protection, and rebalancing.
